Urgent Tips For DV Lottery Winners in the U.S.

On or about May 1, 2014, the U.S. Department of States released the result of the DV Lottery 2015. The official date to file for benefits will be October 1, 2014 for those who won the lottery depending on when you priority date appears in the Visa Bulletin.

Visa Bulletin: Employment Based Green Card Categories Has Jumped Again

In the last few months, there have been significant forward movement in both the family based and employment based immigrant visa categories. By now, there is a mad rush to file adjustment of status applications by those immigrants who have waited for many years checking the Visa Bulletin every month to see if their priority dates are current.

 In the past three months, the employment based categories experienced a dramatic forward movement that many immigrants with approved I-140 petitions will now be eligible to apply for adjustment of status. If you are an immigrant in any of these categories, it is time to speak to your attorney and file immediately. My Office is filing for those eligible now before the Visa Bulletin moves the dates backward again.

Diversity Visa Lottery 2013 Starts Oct. 4, 2011

The entire editorial team of the U.S. Immigration News is happy to echo the U.S. Department of State by announcing to all our readers that the entry period to the Diversity Visa Lottery 2013 will start on October 4, 2011 and end on November 5, 2011.

From Green Card Interview to Immigration Detention

It is no longer an exaggeration to say that the latest high-tech equipments used by the Department of Homeland Security could find a needle in a haystack. At a recent interview before the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service, my client was trying to hide an issue that occurred as far back as 1974.
