By God’s grace I benefited from partaking in a recently concluded ten (10) days conference of the World Soul-Winning Evangelistic Ministry which took place at Ilesha, Nigeria. During the grand finale ceremonies, the General Overseer, Dr. Paul Obadare encouraged all people in attendance as he preached a sermon titled “A Watchman Asleep In The Storm” to wake up from being slumbering and Christians. He admonished all people, especially leader, to cease from being watchmen like Jonah of the Bible who was sleeping in the storm. I wish to share this message with you so that you too may examine your status in Christ, whether you are active in soul-winning or sleeping on the Job.

Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by a bacillus (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) which primarily affects the lungs. It is spread by tiny droplets carried in the air when an infected person sneezes, coughs or talks. It is a disease of global concern with a new person being infected every second. It is estimated about one third of the world’s population is infected.

How TB is contacted and spread

It is spread through the air when someone infected in the lungs coughs, sneezes, talks or spits.

It is not every infected person that becomes sick because the body defenses (immune system) can curtail the bacilli and it will remain in an inactive form for years.

Welcome to a brand new month in a brand new year! We love to reflect at this time on the roads that we travelled in the year gone by and the ones that we will pass through in the New Year which we have entered into. Almost everyone desires that something new, different and positive happen in their lives, homes, businesses and ministries. This is very good. The question, however, is how do we achieve this?
