Newsflash:

Woman Arise. It Is Time To Shine.

woman affairsWelcome to a brand new month in a brand new year! We love to reflect at this time on the roads that we travelled in the year gone by and the ones that we will pass through in the New Year which we have entered into. Almost everyone desires that something new, different and positive happen in their lives, homes, businesses and ministries. This is very good. The question, however, is how do we achieve this? This time last year, my greatest request was for God to do something new in my ministry. I had my plans laid out and I had a clear picture of what I wanted Him to do. What you want and how God leads is however sometimes different. What God did was a total rearrangement of people and priorities around me. Some of the process was welcomed with joy while others brought a great deal of pain.  All of them were very necessary. Change is constant and is not always bad.

Change is a word that I am mobilizing every woman to embrace this New Year. Change in your prayer life from Luke warmness to blazing fire. Change from an angry woman to a patient and tolerant one, from a nagging woman to a loving, caring and understanding one. Change from an unfaithful wife or friend to a loyal and faithful one. Change from been talkative and a gossip to a woman with a quiet spirit who is not a busybody in other people’s matters. You even need to embrace change in the way you dress. Spice up your closet with some new clothes if you can afford it and it will shoot up your self esteem. How about going back to school?  If you have GED, it is time to take some college credits and if you have a bachelor’s degree, a master degree is very much within your reach if you make the decision. It is never too late! You may even want to venture into business to improve your income level. It may be scary but it is possible. All those ideas you have sitting on the back burner need to be activated.

There are many people in the Bible who took control of their situations when they decided that they wanted something better in life. Such people as Jabez in the book of 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 whose name defined his destiny, realized that he wanted something more in life and acted. He called on the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that thou would bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldst keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me. And God granted him that which he requested.”

Woman Arise! Complacency about sin or our unfruitful circumstances I have seen is a disease. God abhors it so much that he gave the Israelite women a warning in Isaiah 32: 9 -18 which reads in part, “Rise up ye women that are at ease, hear my voice; ye careless daughters, give ear unto my speech ...” There are issues that may be destroying the home or an individual’s destiny so much so that if they are not addressed can make one go through life unfulfilled and with lack of achievements. Take for instance someone who is overweight with failing health and chooses to do nothing about it, death or life in a sick bed awaits that person. When you find out through self realization that you have been dancing on the same spot for too long, you need to make a move that will bring freshness into your life. Decide this year that you will not just endure your marriage but enjoy it.

In the book of Deuteronomy chapter 1  verses 6-8, God told the Israelites, “Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: Turn you and take your journey and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the near places thereunto, in the plains, and in the valley, in the south by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon …”  In other words, God is saying that there are territories yet unconquered, new relationships to form while maintaining productive ones, more heights to attain spiritually and otherwise. He said in verse 8, “Behold I have set the land before you: go in and posses ...” If you keep doing things the same way, it has been proven that you will probably keep getting the same results. I moved away from stagnancy. You can too, and watch God do something new in your life!

What you need to do.

    Thank God for all that He has done for you so far.

    Pray and ask for direction for your next move

    Resist procrastination. Act with boldness

    Know that it is possible for things not to go smoothly or fast at first. Patience and perseverance are great virtues.

    Focus on your goal and by the grace of God, you will get there.

Happy New year to you and your family.
